Till July 6: The 1st week of July marks the end of the month long regional selection (Argentina) for the 6th Campeonato Metropolitano de Baile de Tango. Winners will enter the international competition in Aug here in BsAs. Last competition takes place on July 6 at Salon Sur, Av. Saenz 459. Free entrance.

Aug 15-24: 10th Festival Buenos Aires Tango. The new government has moved this annual event from mid-Feb to Aug to coincide with the Campeonato Mundial. Loads of free concerts, classes, and milongas. Link: http://www.festivaldetango.gov.ar/index2.php (the English version is old, but the Spanish version is yet to be set up. Only dates so far.)

Aug 24 - Sep 1: 6th Campeonato Mundial de Baile de Tango. Participants from around the world dance to stardom. There have been dancers from all over Asia such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan in the last few years. So who's going to be first from HK? I'm experience problems with their website at the moment, but check online later.
