As I discovered more about tango lyrics on this trip to BsAs, I urge you to visit the following site by Rick McGarrey, and in particular the chapters on "cracking the code". What makes dancing different in BsAs for me is that people here live with the music. It's this deep rooted connection with the poetic lyrics that makes the dance more emotionally profound then just steps and figures. If you are serious about tango, it's a must read. Some understanding of spanish would be helpful but not necessary.

Hi Lily,

I'm sure I will miss BsAs, but I am also ready to leave. I need a bit of change from time to time and look forward to returning to this city in the future. What I'll miss most is not just tango, I love the architecture, the variety of cultural activities, my friends and teachers, the music, the cafecitos, and my host here.
