Taipei Tango Festival Traveling questions 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
This is regular HK tango visitor--Andy Liu from Taipei. I know some of you are planning for Taipei Tango Festival. I start getting questions from Hong Kong friends; and I am very happy to answer them. But, I do believe some of the questions could be much better answered by HK friends those who have been to Taipei tango festival (I call the experience of how you manage busy festival class schedule and city tour is “Art”). That is why I post messages here for more discussions.

Question #1:

Where do you suggest us to see Taipei other than workshop hours during Festival for the first time visit?
Night Market (not necessary to be at night) and National Palace Museum (City) are always listed on top two must visit in Taipei.
Go check this first www.taipeitravel.net/

Question #2:
Hotel suggestions?

I saw Taipei hotel list available on CX holidays package —Andy’s pick #1 United (walking distance, next to Metro, petite but good facilities); pick #2 Sheraton Taipei, (Next to Metro, luxury facilities); pick #3 Far Eastern Shangri-La (80-100 NTD taxi to Studio, luxury facilities). I assume many hotel marketing managers are going to murder me after I post my list.
Also, I suggest you should talk to local travel agents to get package deal as early as possible. For budget hotels, TangoTaiwan will always provide list on their festival pages.

I will just leave future/other questions/answers here. Or if you want to go with Chinese language:

Have fun planning.
Andy

Irene suggests one tango festival budget hotel, “SKLET resort”, next to famous “Shi-Lin Night Market” on the Chinese discussion board of Taipei Tango (groups.msn.com/taipeitango/messageboard.msnw).
SKLET resort is private-owned resort for students in international training & education programs. The resort has neat facilities and unbelievable-low price. I personally consider it is a wonderful pick for Tango festival visitors want to save some money in accommodation items.
