Javier and Anrdea taught us many things about tango while they were in Hong Kong, from posture, embrace, feeling and walking to steps.  Things that can only be felt and touched by the heart, things that can only be learnt by dancing with your partner and feeling the embrace.

Of all steps they taught, there are 3 steps that impressed me most.  I don't know whether they have names or not, I call them the Javier, the Lady Killer and the orcho cortado.

The Javier

Every timewe watch Javier dancing, we always see these steps.  They are so unique that they are literally the signature steps of Javier.  In fact, I have been practising these steps from Youtube for 9 months before I have the chance to learn them from Javier in person.

The Lady Killer

During one class, Javier and Andrea splited the class into two groups, the men and the ladies.  Then Jaiver taught the men at one corner and Andrea taught the ladies at the other corner.  Each group had no idea what was being taught to the other group.

Javier said to us, while teaching these steps " If you execute these steps perfectly, you will kill every women you are dancing with."  I don't know what Andrea told the ladies at the other end, perhaps teaching them how not to killed or simply to be killed readily.

The Orcho Cortado

I had a discussion with my partner and other ladies while learning these steps,  They both have ballroom/Latin dance experience before.  They told me these steps are ballroom/latin dance style.  And I said Javier has no way dance latin dance style in Argentine Tango.

Watch Andrea's body movement and you will get the answer.
