Tango Preface - Community Spirit

Written by Richard Lai, on 12-10-2007 11:31

preface_coleman_copyThe enrollment of our second Tango Preface in 2007, taught by Coleman and Fiona, lived up to our expectation.  Two dozens of students joined the club and took up the course. As usual, there are more ladies than men.

At the first class, we started the helpers system and summoned members to come to facilitate the running of the classes.  Though we do not and cannot guarantee an even number of dance partners, we tried our best to make sure each student has a partner to dance to.  And furthermore, each student has an experienced partner to dance to who helps him/her learns faster.

Among the helpers, there are young man members who took up our last tango preface in April, and there are those who attended the beginner and intermediate classes taught by Gonzalo & Mariel in June.  There are also experienced dancers who have been dancing for a couple of years.  And there are lady helpers too.

We are satisfied by the support from all these members and call it another success.  We can only achieve this with what we call Community Spirit.

And here we are, bonded for Tango.

Only at TangoTang.
