Many of our members, ladies in particular, come to search and check out what Argentine Tango is and eventually dance tango, after watching this scene from the movie "Scent of a Woman". Here Al Pacino played a gentleman who cannot see. Yet he managed to lead a woman who does not know how to dance to dance with him.

Here is the scene: Scent of a Woman

The name of the song is "Por una cabeza" writen by Carlos Gardel who was one the masters of argentine tango music from the Golden Era, 1930's to 1950's. "Por una cabeza"is a horse race term and means "By a head"..and tell the story of a horse race fanatic gambler. It is these "traditonal" tango music and tango "feel" that inspired many of us to come to dance tango.
