Buenos Aires ... a city of illusions ...

Here, it's very easy for the travelling tangueros to feel departed from reality ... As you don't have to work, you are doing something very different than what you are doing at your home place, and you meet new friends who don't know any of your history, you don't have a past and a future here because you're leaving somedays afterwards ... all these make one feels like being on another planet and it's easy for ones to be lost ...

I felt extremely satisfying to live a life full of and only with dance. It's really great every day you wake up and you just have to think about tango. And it's even more satisfying that in BsAs, all the people here give you very positive energy, with lots of compliments and sweet words. But, sometimes, i feel quite lost, because here, nothing is solid, i don't know what's the truth, as i don't have reference in reality.

Back in HK, when tango is just part of your life, after tango, you always go back to reality and you have a reference. But here, one night when some of the best dancers in a milonga all tried to invite you, you might feel... may be i really improved a bit ... but the other day, when the dancers you want to dance with never invite you, you might feel may be i'm still dancing so badly ... you might feel many ups and downs when you don't have a reference, and when you have illusions everyday, illusions might just feels like the truth ...

Especially in milongas ...  we might be lost finding feelings that doesn't exist in reality, feelings are beautiful in tango... but tango trances, most of the times are very much hallucinations, it magnify something in your heart which may override other important things. There are girls who came to Buenos Aires with all their property sold in her hometown after they had good times with argentine guys, but there are also girls who had decided not to come back again, because they found it lonely here ... No matter what you encounter, be prepared with a clear mind not just with passion, we all need to learn it, face the illusions and prepare for the disillusion of tango ...
