Art is the bread and butter of life and happiness. Many people don’t understand the freedom and beauty that comes with creating something from nothing. There is a sense of accomplishment when you put don’t your brush and step back to examine your new masterpiece.
For those of you who already know what it’s like to create art, you are probably inspired and ready to produce quality pieces. When I feel artistic inspiration hit me, it’s like a lightening bolt. I can’t do or think about anything else until I have completed my idea. If you feel the same way, then you are an artist too! Let out your emotions and feelings so you can create the most exquisite pieces you never knew you were capable of.
A constant in life will always be self-doubt. Everyone goes through it at one stage of life or another. The real test of your endurance is will you let it hold you back? Rarely will someone start something new without fear or concern of the unknown? No one wakes up in the morning and says, “I’m going to become a master of art today!” Any skill worthwhile takes years and years of practice to master.
It is true that some may be more inclined to excel in certain areas than others. That does not mean that you can’t do as well or even rise above those with natural talent. It just depends on how much work you are willing to put in. An example of this would be sports. Some are just naturally better at sports than others. Those who aren’t as graceful or fast will have a harder time keeping up in the beginning. After plenty of practice, they can become one of the best members of the team. Why can’t this be applied the same to art?
You are absolutely capable of becoming a master artist! All you need is the proper tools and necessary application of artistic techniques.
Depending on what kind of art interests you, you will need the tools used to produce the piece. Usually, paper or canvas is the blank slate that
you can use to create your masterpiece. Don’t limit yourself to these, though. Art can be applied anywhere; from your wall to your shoes the possibilities are endless. Now, what do you use to apply you desired ideas? Some prefer pencil and colored pencil, and some prefer pen and ink. Personally, my choice (and the most commonly used throughout the world) would be painting. Acrylic, oil pastel, or watercolor paints are all completely different in texture and in the application process.
Oil pastels have been around the longest and are the most used among professionals. Some experts have even created a guide to choosing the best oil pastel to help newer artists with insider information into the art world.
Acrylic has the ability to dry very quickly. If you make any mistakes, you only need to wait until the paint drys, usually waiting around twenty minutes up to a few hours.
Watercolor paint has the ability to dry very quickly as well. This type is great to use for softer or a lighter application of color.
